Old get together ( Staff Only here and Potter's ) « Thread Started on Aug 28, 2007, 3:11pm »
Ron had decided that since several of his old friends would be teaching at Hogwarts, and his wife was going to be the head mistress, he would try to get together with them and have a drink. Ron, wearing ruby red robes that glistened like silk in the sunlight, stepped into the grimy pub of Hog's Head. Nobody had made it hear yet and was wondering when people would start showing up. Making his way up to the bartender, " I will have a pint of butterbeer if you would please," Ron ordered. Looking around as he waited for his drink, he noticed that there was nobody in the pub except for himself and the bartender. Ron then received his drink and he looked for a table large enough for himself and all his friends if they all showed up. Finally spotting an empty table for ten, he made his way and sat at the table. The bar was dimly lit and fairly relaxing, even if it did still have that goat stench to it. Ron lifted up his goblet to take a drink, white foam still floating on the top, and swallowed the tasty drink. Many thoughts were going through his mind of all the times that he and his friends had spent toghether.
The scene passed through his head when they had to play wizards chess to move on to find Voldemort in the dungeons. That was one of the best games that Ron had ever played of chess. "It could not have come at a better time to have my best game," he thought. Then he remembered how he had been firm in telling Harry that he was the one that needed to continue on. That was just there first year as friends. The first of many more to follow.
He then fast forwarded his memory to their fifth year when they met Luna Lovegood. She was definitely an odd character he had first thought when they met her. After a while though, she seemed to grow on him and she became another good friend of Ron's. She even helped break into the Ministry of Magic to find the prophecy of Harry's. There they ran into Voldemort again, where Dubledore showed up and defended them. Unfortunately, Ron remembered, that was the night that Sirius was also taken from them.
Just as he began to think about, what would have been their final year at Hogwarts, he heard the door to the Hog's Head open. He left the thought briefly and watched the door to see if maybe it was his wife or one of his friends.

As Luna gracefully walked a million miles an hour town the school steps and across the grounds, looking almost like she was floating, her blue robes fluttering around her quickly, revealing underneath a pair of blue jeans and a light blue t-shirt, the robes silver clasp held the Cloak robe to her as she hastily opened the gate, and slipped through shutting it behind her and skipping down the walk way of Hogsmeade, her destination was The Hog's head, which it didn't take her too many leaps and bounds, and she was before the great wooden door, which she pushed open, leaving the blue sky behind her and entered the warmth of the warm comforting bar.
Luna's blue eyes quickly traced the place to find a very familiar face indeed, Ron Weasley, who she had known since the fifth grade, and was one of her first real friends, Luna had missed the D.A. when she traveled allot, that was the first true place she ever really felt like she had friends and fit in, she was still very grateful of harry for his teachings in that room of requirements. "Hello Ron!" she said walking up to were he sat, her normal glazed eyes watching him, her blond curls had still not stop bobbing from her skipping outside, her eyes flourished Ron's bright red robes, with a little laugh, she was very glad he had become a teacher at hogwarts and thought it was a great thing that on was the head of gryffendor house, it did fit him well.
"You Look.. Rather Bright" she commented as the bar tender looked over the counter at her. "Usual Please" she spoke without even looking at him, and the man walked away shaking his head, Luna touched a rim of one of the chairs sitting at his ten chaired table with him the only one sitting, and slid in moderately quickly and swiftly, as a woman came out and placed a little dish in front of her and a glass filled with blue liquid, and in the small dish was a scoop of pudding, Luna loved Pudding it was her favorite, so coming down here she had convinced the bartender that they needed some and because of her heir of persistence, he finally gave in, but only for her, which was worth it cause she came almost every night.

Hermione apparated breathlessly to the front door of the Hog's Head. She quickly dusted off her robes then looked up and around. There seemed to be many people looking her way, wondering why she was covered in dust. She shrugged it off. She grabbed the handle and pushed as her silver and dark maroon robe billowing around her. It wasn;t until 20 minutes ago she even remembered this was going on. She was in the middle of one last task for Magical Law Enforcement before she took her leave to head Hogwarts. She did however promise that if they never needed her they were free to ask.
She fully entered the muggy bar and immediately thought back to her fifth year and the first time she ever stepped foot into this bloody establishment. She shook the thought of Umbridge out of her head, that was a whole other life, and it was all behind her. The dingy dusty smell immediately filled her nostrils and she sneezed. When she raised her head up she scanned the room quickly and found Ron and Luna on the other end of the dimly lit room.
Hermione bustled over to them and gave Ron a big hug and then kissed him sweetly on his lips. She did not have any particular reason, she just wanted to do it. She pulled away and turned her head to Luna and acted as if this was the first time she had seen her since she entered the hogs head, "Oh hey Luna" Hermione said jokingly pulling her arms from around Ron's tall shoulders. Hermione then proceeded to embrace Luna in a hug, when she pulled away she spoke, "It is just going to be a blast having you at the school with me," she paused, grabbed Luna's hand then momentarily looked to Ron, "Both of you, it will make the transition a whole lot easier if there are people on the premises that I love and can trust."
With this Hermione let go of Luna's hand and turned to the bar keep, "Butterbeer please?" she asked. She moved to Ron's side and wrapped her arm around his waist.

Ron was eying the door when a very familiar face had walked in. Luna Longbottom, who was now married to Neville, was looking a bit winded. She was breathing as she had skipped the entire way to the pub. He was very happy to see her. Knowing that there was going to be some familiar friends at the school made him feel a lot more comfortable. He then heard her comment to the bartender, "You Look.. Rather Bright. Usual please." and then she touched the tip of one of the chairs and slid rather quickly into one of the seats. He then observed a woman as she walked out carrying a little dish that looked like it had pudding in it with a blue drink that Ron could not tell what it was. He did not really care though, he was just glad to have a friend there to spend some time with. She looked rather pleased with ther dish of pudding.
" What in the bloody hell, is that blue drink?" Ron asked with a smile. Just as he asked the question he heard a pop outside the door to the Hog's Head and then it opened. Ron watched the door intently to see who else would be joining their party. With a little bit of dust still on her wardrobe, he wathed his wife Hermione walk her way into the pub. A large smile came across his face, he liked spending time with Hermione.
When Hermione walked in, she looked like she had a flash back but then shook her head and cleared her mind. Just as she had done so, she took a deep breath and sneezed. Ron laughed.
" Blimey, that is nasty, you got bogey's everywhere!" he exclaimed. He always liked poking fun, whether he meant it full heartedly was no matter. He never really meant half the things he siad, he just liked to have fun.
"It is just going to be a blast having you at the school with me." Hermione told Luna as she noticed she was there as well. She had said exactly what Ron had been thinking. It really was going to be nice being a part of the staff with so many of the old friends being together again. She then continued on with the same exact train of thought, "Both of you, it will make the transition a whole lot easier if there are people on the premises that I love and can trust."
She then wandered her way to the bartender where she ordered herself a butterbeer. She has some good taste he thought, and was really beginning to enjoy himself. How could he not be when his two favorite girl friends were spending time with him. Hermione then wandered back and put her hand around his waist.
Ron could smell the dust still on her robes, and then Ron himself sneezed. " What were you doing, wandering up in the caves looking for another troll I would have to save you from?" Ron smirked.
He then asked Luna, " So how is old Neville treating you these days?"

Oliver entered the Hogs Head wearing green robes and a smile, he was wondering whether any of the old Hogwarts students and friends were there, he didn't want to be the only one to arrive that he actually knew, he looked around and his mood went up as he saw Ronald Weasley, Hermione Weasley and another girl, he actually didn't know any of them so good so he hoped they wouldn't be bothered for him arriving.
He saw Ronald talking to Luna so he went over to Hermione since she wasn't talking with them. He than said "Hi Hermione how have you been all these years? You certainly have done well being the headmistress of the school." Oliver thought this was a good thing meeting people from years ago, he had forgotten how most of them looked like so he was amazed how much they had changed.
They all seemed to remember each other perfectly, he felt a bit as an outsider since he didn't know them really good, he hoped some more people would arrive so that he could talk to them. He remembered that George Weasleys shop was close by so he hoped he would stop by because he actually knew him from their old Quidditch team.
He was wondering how come they had arranged this, probably since some of them knew each other, but he was looking forward to getting known to the teachers that he didn't know from before, he doubted they would come though since not many had come in this time.
He asked the bartender "Can I get a butterbeer?" He turned around waiting for Hermione to answer.

Hermione had just taken a gulp of her butterbeer and slipped out from under Rons arm as Oliver Wood walked in. Hermione couldn't help but smile as she put her drink down and thought of all the little school girls who would go ga-ga over him on a daily basis. A minute later Oliver was swiftly by my side, "Hi Hermione how have you been all these years? You certainly have done well being the headmistress of the school." Hermione finished another sip and smiled, "Hey Oliver, i'm good, and yourself" she said giving him a friendly hug, pulling away, "It's exciting, fun, and terrifying at the same time, but I know I can handle it. I am so happy that you are here to help out with Quidditch, I couldn;t think of anyone else I would want teaching the new witches and wizards. If we have someone really talented teaching them young there will probably be more talented players." she explained. "How are other things in your life these days?" she then took another sip ofher drink, turned slightly and smiled at her husband who was a few inches away, 'I love you' she thought as she turned back to Oliver.
