What a tiring day, Oliver thought with a small sigh. He was a transfer student. That basically means, it is his first year at Hogwarts, but in his fourth year. The room he was in right now, was empty; if you were to say something you would probably here an echo. There were three beds and he knew one was his but which? Were children allowed to pick their own beds? He didn’t want the bed near the window. because he was the type of person who would catch things quickly, or the bed near the closet … that he had his reasons. The middle bed it was, he threw his luggage on top of it because it was heavy and also to make sure someone else wouldn’t take it as theirs.
Turning around, he saw something strange coming from outside. Opening the window, it was little ice things falling down, it was actually snowing! Oliver was wrapped up with other things; he didn’t notice that there was snow surrounding the place. The young Oliver James, looked even further, he spotted something that looked like an ice rink. He turned his back a little where his things were at, he decided to unpack later, he had plenty of time to do that later. Quickly he took his ice-skates and rushed out of the castle. Oliver already had the right clothes on for winter since it was chilly where he came from. A sweater, jacket, and an ear flapped beanie would do him good, well he hoped so.
Ten minutes later, he finally reached the place where he saw when he was looking out of the window. It was better than a usual ice rink. “Whoa ...” he said speechless. Was he the first to see this or what? Back where he was from, ice rink are crowded but this one wasn’t. Oliver sat on the bench, so he could switch into his ice - skates. He saw a big sign, THE LAKE. “Even better” he said to himself, smiling slightly. Standing up, he walked slowly towards the ice. He knocked on it to see if it would break or not; it didn’t. It seemed safe - enough at least - so he started to skate around the lake.

Riley was headed across the grounds. She was rather bored, and wanted to cheak out the snow. Wearing long denim jeans and short boots, she brushed snow of the shoulder of her warm winter jacket. A scarf was swung around her neck also.
Casting her gaze across the area, she smiled as she spotted her favorite tree. She walked under it, out of the wind. She was right near the lake, which was completely frozen. She mused about ice skating with the many students that were enjoying it. But, sje was completely un-co and would fall on her butt, she knew it. So, by the edge of the lake she lay in the soft snow, closing her eyes as a snowflake fell on her face.

"Riley?" Oliver looked up and saw Riley Watson, a fellow fourth year Gryffindor, lying down into the snow. Oliver had just recently kissed her by accident and then he felt bad. He, himself, felt pretty good about finally kissing a girl, but he had no idea what she thought. Oliver turned his skates around and skated towards where Riley was in the snow.

[ooc. hem hem, sorry! ]
Riley thought she heard her name called out but was too comfortable. She remained smiling softly in her bed of cold snow. She ran her arms through the snow to make a snow angel, and opened her eyes. She opened her mouth in awe of the sight, the snow fluttering down. Just as she did a ball of snow fell from the tree and into her mouth. She shot up, coughing as she choked on the freezing water that went down the wrong way. She leaned on one arm, the other reaching for her throat.

Riley heard her name again, more clearly and in a somewhat familiar voice. She sat up, her eyes cast around the skating ring and surroudings, looking for the source. A hand moved to her ear to tuck a stray lock of golden brown hair away. Her hair had flecks of snow stuck in it from where she'd lay down, as did her jumper, the back of her arms and her back had a light dusting of the white powder.
