Personality: Jade is a neutral student who gets alright grades. She isn't a straight O student and is often corrected in Charms and Transfiguration because of her concentration, or lack there of. She enjoys watching, and sometimes playing, Quidditch. Her activities consist of reading, writing, lazing by the great lake (occasionally swimming is said lake), flying on her broom (a Nimbus) or trying to figure out how not to mess up in Transfiguration and Charms. She's family and friend oriented, which is another way of saying "Mess with her friends and you'll pay".
Personality wise, Jade Wright could be classified as semi-bipolar, which means she could be in any mood at any time. Her usual mood, however, is bored. She doesn't rely on other people to cheer her up, or to get her out of her dorm room. She prefers to be alone, unless her friends aren't busy and she doesn't have homework.
History: She is a Native-Canadian, who moved to England to be with her 'father', or rather the person who helped conceive her when her mom became mortally ill and had less than 5 percent chance of living. Her father isn't a cruel, evil person...just a person that didn't want children, moreso a daughter, so Jade has been neglected as much as being ignored could be called neglected since she was 10. Her mother is now dead. She visits her grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family during the summer in Canada. Her family is large and she's related to almost everyone in the village she was living in before she was living with her father, one way or another. She's the only registered witch in her village, the other magic people in her village are considered 'Witch-Doctors' and are not to be messed with.
She recieved her Hogwarts letter shortly after moving in at her father's estate, a middle-class home in a small town outside of London. Her knowledge of magic at the time was none, unless you counted fictional magic, such as "Hocus-Pocus" or "Abracadabra". Never having friends when living in her old village, she was always independant of herself and lived in recluse, all the while growing up too quickly.

About 6'; long, curly black hair; dark, dark brown eyes; seems to look mean a lot. Native--so she's brown...

Jade walked down the halls of the Hogwarts Dungeons, heading to her favorite class, Potions. She was hoping today would be as challenging as the other day had; she was getting bored of revising potions they had done the year before. Slowly making her way to the class, she felt the feeling of being watched. Looking around slowly, she dismissed it as Peeves bugging her again, although it being silently bugging, unnerved her slightly.
Entering the classroom, she wasn't surprised to see no one else had arrived yet. Sighing, she fell into her usual seat at the front and started rifling through her bag for her potions book. "Which potion haven't I tried to alter yet...?" she murmured to herself, flipping through her highly altered potions book. To the naked eye, it'd have seemed she'd merely doodled in said book, but upon closer expection, you'd see that there were small comments and alterations to the potions themselves. The door opened and she jumped, dropping her book. Cursing to herself, she disappeared under her desk to retrieve it. Standing back up and sitting at her desk once more, she inclined her head to the other Slytherin.
