Library The library of Hogwarts was on the fourth floor of the castle. No food was allowed in the library - especially chocolate Easter eggs. The library closed each night at 8 p.m. The library contained thousands of books, all relating to the Wizarding world. The library had many sections, including a section on dragons, an Invisibility section, and a Restricted section, where the Dark Arts books were kept. The only way to get a book from this section was a signed note of approval from a teacher. The books were charmed to prevent them being defaced, but some students overcame these spells.
